Zaatar Eggs

This recipe will sure to get your day started right. While the eggs cover all of your needed Proteins, and the tomatoes and cucumbers give you your vitamins, zaatar spice adds the nutrients to help you think clearly.

Ingredients
  

  • 2-3 eggs
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tbsp zaatar
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup sliced garden or cherry tomatoes

  • 1 pita bread for dipping

HOW TO MAKE ZAATAR EGGS

  • Heat skillet on medium-high heat. Add olive oil to pan, and spread the oil all around. Crack open eggs and let it cook for 1-2 minutes. Watch for it to simmer.
  • Add kosher salt and Zaatar generously on top. Cook for another 1 minute or until desired yolk is cooked to your satisfaction. Carefully slide eggs, and set aside on a flat serving plate.
  • Add Twist by warming up some pita bread and using it to dip in egg yolks and Zaatar!
