Lemon Butter Tilapia

Fish nights are always a favorite around here! This easy and quick recipe is my go to when I am crunched for time, but want a healthy meal choice for my family. This fish can be served with couscous, rice or a healthy Mediterranean salad! The twist is sumac which gives it a lemony and tangy flavor!

Ingredients
  

  • 6 fillets tilapia
  • 3-4 tbsp organic butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp capers
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 hand full fresh italian parsley
  • 1 pinch sea salt

Instructions
 

  • In a large pan, heat the olive oil on medium-high heat, add butter, garlic and sea salt to taste. Cook for 30 seconds or until garlic is fragrant.
  • Add tilapia fillets in pan and saute for approx 4 mins on each side.
  • Add caper to the pan and cook for another 1-2 mins.
  • Place cooked fish on flat serving dish, and garnish with parsley and sumac.
  • Cut 1/2 of the lemon in thin slices and place on plate, and squeeze other half of lemon for added flavor.
  • Serve with a side salad, cous cous or rice pilaf. A glass of White or Rose Wine to top it off!
