This past Sunday, I created this beautiful Mediterranean Inspired table theme for my neighbors son's first birthday party. In the middle east, we call this Mezze... what is a mezze you ask? It's a Mediterranean charcuterie board, or a middle eastern appetizer platter, often with hummus, cheeses, and pita bread best for sharing.
HOW TO MAKE A MEDITERRANEAN CHARCUTERIE
I created a full blog post with tips and tricks on how to create something like this. You can find the post here. I also created a Trader Joe's shopping list that you can download to get you started. Give it a try and let us know what you think in the comments below!
For this Charcuterie board, I used the following ingredients and spices.
Ingredients
- selection of salami, calabrese, and prosciutto
- dark chocolate covered almonds
- raspberries
- strawberries
- blueberries
- grapes
- cashews
- dates
- pears
- green apple
- truffle cheese
- soft brie
- iberico spanish cheese
- selection of gourmet crackers
- pita bread and labne dip
Twist: Sprinkle of Za'atar on labne dip and/olives

Looks beautiful I love gathering boards - sweet, savory, and everything in between. a couple of years ago we did gathering boards on Christmas day. We opted to stay in our jammies that year so had fun with breakfast boards, hot cocoa boards, etc...
